The Crab & Creel

There were 8 of us in our party. We were seated almost immediately. Order was accurately taken. Drinks delivered fast and food came very soon after drinks. Lobster, scallops, catch of the day and pork chops were excellent as was the remainder of our order. I have to say the pork chops were the very best I have ever had. So in summary exceptional service and food a real gem.

Absolutely superb meal! We LOVED everything about this restaurant. Food, staff and music! In actual fact we thought the music was brilliant and added to the most enjoyable evening. We had langoustines, lobster and John Dory, all was to die for. Can’t wait to return! We loved the coal fire too which was most welcome on a cold rainy day.

Food is amazing, fresh seafood and cook beautifully. Staff are so friendly so super attentive! Felt like haven't been to a restaurant as nice as this for a while too! thank you! It made our trip happy

Best crab that I’ve had in decades! Also first time in years that I’ve been given the proper tools to eat a crab at a restaurant in decades as well. The breaded salmon was also delicious. Loved the potatoes and chips too. The mustard dressing on the salad was really tasty. Sticky toffee pudding is delicious! We inhaled it!

The food was positively splendid. Seafood served here is as fresh as possible and prepared to perfection. Customer service is incredibly attentive, welcoming and you can trust them to pick the right whisky for your taste. A must visit place in Mallaig.

A wonderful stay in Mallaig. Very comfortable accomodation, first class service. What can I say about the restaurant. We met with friends and had a splendid meal. If we find other places that match this on our travels we'll be very lucky indeed. Home smoked salmon to begin followed a delicious Halibut fillet. A lovely relaxed atmosphere and top notch service.

The food was fantastic. We had the steak rump, cod and pork chop. Portions were great, and they were generous with the sides too. I especially loved the giant onion rings that were perfectly seasoned and crispy. What amazed me more was the care and attention to detail of the staff. Another customer was feeling sick and the staff kept checking in on her and even provided her lemon slices to feel better.

The Crab and Creel is the perfect place for fresh, local seafood. Dee-licious crispy and tender fish and chips, warming, hearty fish stew and many other treasures of the sea. Staff is friendly and attentive. Setting is clean and comfortable. It was the perfect place for a relaxing lunch.
